Just published Christmas in Tallinn

I just published a new story @Worldly called Christmas in Tallinn.

Tallinn is probably not the first thing that pops into your head when you think christmas vacation. Most people would prefer to head south to the warm breeze and sandy beeches. But thats not how we travel, for us its not so much about the destination, but more about getting away experiencing new cultures, food and to be completely ....

That old gang

Remember that old gang from school?

As time goes by and life takes over it is quite normal to loose contact, I often think back at the guys and laugh inside of all our stupidity.

The leader:

Usually the one calling the shot, but not the one taking the heat.

The second in charge:

The one backing up the leader, 100% committed to the leader. He is never the one taking the first step into trouble, but is always there to backup.

The chubby one:

He is just here to because he is accepted by the gang, he does on the other hand get teased and bullied by the rest of the gang, but he is afraid to leave.

The Nerd:

He is a big resource to the gang, knowing everything about computers and console. A huge asset to get the gang up high multiplayer on reputation. He on the other hand own multiple versions of the same game because he have been banned on several occasions for hacking the gameplay.

The quiet one:

Not much of a talker, he mostly listens and when assigned a job he performs without asking questions. At home he is the sweet kid, loved by teachers and parents, but is a devil in disguise.

The best friends:

The best friends and original members of the gang.

Free Addthis Koken Plugin

Please notice I have stopped Support on this plugin, you can still download the plugin if you wanna give it a go.

Adding follow me buttons to your Koken Cms.

lets face it photography is all about being social, at least if you want your work to be seen.

well Koken already gave us social sharing buttons, but I was missing some social follow buttons, so with a little help of the nice guys over at www.addthis.com I created a plugin to show their Follow Header.

The plugin need a little setup on addthis and works like this:

First you need to create a account at addthis to get a pubid (publisher id).

Then go to Tool Gallery --> Follow Header Set up the follow header with your usernames for all the social places you have.

Notice and write down your pubid.(Bold text below)

Download the plugin here -->> FollowHeaderAddThis.zip and install to koken/storage/plugins/

Enable the plugin in Koken admin area and type in your pubid.

Free image protection Koken Plugin

About 2 month ago Koken released a plugin to protect images by disabling right click on images in your Koken installation.

I might get in trouble for this but it annoyed me that they decided to take 20 bucks for a plugin to protect artists from image theft. So after a bit of research I quickly wrote a plugin for you all.

Just download the plugin further down, and extract and upload it to your koken/storage/plugins/

Can't really wrap my head around this

Been photographing for more than 15 years now but until recently I didn't really share much or shared very little on panoramio, it was lots of fun and exciting every time I got an image approved for Google earth. I have been a member of Panoramio since July 2007 or about 7 years now.

In those 7 years I have gained some exposure or to be exact 36345 views, in my opinion thats a lot of views if you take into consideration that I'm only a amateur/enthusiasts photographer.

About 2 years ago I read an article somewhere about what an awesome photo community Google+ has become and I thought I would give it a go and see what would happen.

Now about 2 years later I am sitting here analyzing my Google+ account and noticed that I had more than 1.617.983 views on my profile.

Lets put some math into that.

Panoramio 7 years thats 364 weeks 2.555 days or 99,8 views a week and 14,22 views a day. Not really bad for an amateur.

Google+ 2 years thats 104 weeks 730 days or 15.557 views a week and 2.216 views a day. Thats just insane.

I know its has lots to do with activity but its unreal that a person like me can gather that many views a day/week.

Monitor calibration a whole new world

I have wished one for years but, with a rather high price tag I always postponed the purchase of a monitor calibrator.

But at my birthday my sweet sweet wife got me the Datacolor Spyder4 Elite and holy cow, what a tool, it took about 15 minutes from I opened the box read the manual ( Yes I actually red the manual once in a while ) until I had my laptops monitor all finetuned and calibrated. 

So what I thought was True black or any color just changed in a heartbeat. Im am actually a little scared of opening my Lightroom catalog and inspect the result :-/ 

So if you got a little extra cash laying around I strongly recommend you to go by one of these amazing little things.

P.S I asked my wife why she went all the way and bought me the Elite version, and it is because its the only one supporting Laptop monitors.
