After 2 long months my photo challenge Wild and stormy seascapes is finally over and with a huge amount of superb entries it was really hard finding the winner.
After many thoughts and going back and forward my decision finally fell on this amazing photo by Jon-Eirik. aka: Boholm on viewbug.
The atmosphere and mood in this photo is everything I visioned when launching the challenge.

Recently last wednesday to be exact I found my self in a horrific situation, wich got me thinking, first of taking better care of my self, but also about my entire career as a photographer.
Normally when I think about my assets as a photographer, I usually places them in the following order sorted by importance.
1. Creativity
You won't get much further than the "family snapshot guy/girl", if you dont challenge your creativity, one thing I have found extremely usefull to keep my creativity on top is to spend hours after hours scrolling trough photo sites. A few recomendations would be: Viewbug or 500px.
2. Mobility
Well sitting at home dosen't really pushes your creativity, there is only a limited amount of things and angles you can shoot from, so your car, bike, legs are pretty important, Especially if you are like me facinated by the great outdoors.
3. Gear
We all know it you need a camera to play with, if it is a DSLR a decent kit lens, and a computer to post process your photos on. (This one used to be my most priced asset).
Now here is one that I never took into account, and the reason I started thinking about this in the first place.
Your eyes... yup your eyes,
They are just there have allways been, and if your not as unlucky as I was they will bere there for the rest of your life.
Now that phrase may sound a little worse than it is, but I was so unlucky to get some chemical hardner in both my eyes last wednesday at my day job, and ever since (the last 6 days) been struggeling with light sensitivity and a excruciating pain in my left eye. I called my doctor this morning he told me that my left eye ball at a 15mm long crack in it, ouch :-(
And to top it all off, the weather outside is bright sunny with some clouds, and the mailman just delivered a brand new fisheye lens at my doorstep.
So I right now I am sitting home looking at my laptop with brightness to minimum, and wearing sunglasses, just waiting eagerly for you guys to upload some fantastic images, so my inspiration can grow.
The point of my story is that your most valuable asset is you, so remember to take care of your self. I know I will from now on.

Help me share the good news to all your friends and followers.
Well first of, I sleep like a bear trough winter, dreaming about photos and all of my gear. After a day or two of sleeping I get restless, start moving around my house to get a great idea, but due to illness I end up just cleaning up my lenses and camera, charge my batteries and gets ready for getting out again.
Then the magic day arrives, I feels a tiny bit better, and start to think that it would be ok to go outside, but after a long talk with myself I decide to just stay indoors and set up a small makeshift home studio.
It's time for selfies!
After a couple of 100 shots, I choose the three best (F**** me its hard to look at your self on images).
After 2 hours spend..... what next ?
The dog... Oh YES the dog.
Ahh finally satisfied and ready to take a nap, but hey the studio is all ready setup and maybe before I take it down I should take some photos of my hands.
And my butt.....
No way I'm not taking pictures of my butt. What did you think... (I bet you tried clicking the blank images) ;-)

I chose Rick's photograph as the grand winner, because I think i captures the very essence of the challenge of something Frozen Solid. The 2 huge trees covered in heavy frost and the cold natural blue tone Rick has captured, just makes this photo perfect.
